ADAM STONE MUSIC

BIOGRAPHY

Someone recently asked me "Adam, what is your vision for your future in music?"  No doubt I would love to have a career in music in hopes that one day I can retire comfortably and run a small-town country store.  I would have to say that is two visions!  My answer, after much thought, was this - "My vision for my future would have to be playing on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry."    If my old cowboy boots ever graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry like so many of my idols have, I know I would be one satisfied man.

Many times I have been asked "Adam, how long have you been playing?"  As you can see from the picture on the right, a long time!  I am very blessed to have a family that loves music and always encouraged me as a child to develop my talent.  I vividly remember as a small boy tagging along with my father to an old pack house down a dusty path to hear men pick their guitars to the tunes of Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings and George Jones.  The good old days.

Twenty some odd years later, I reflect back on that small boy, wide-eyed and grinning, watching those pickers in that old pack house.  I am just a small-town, eastern North Carolina boy.  Those are my roots and ones that I am very proud of.   I have taken many trips to Nashville, Tennessee.  I have played at world renowned places such as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Bluebird Cafe, Nashville Palace and Legends Corner just to name a few.  There is nothing like walking down Broadway Street with your guitar until you realize that everyone else you see is doing the same thing!

I have had the humble pleasure of opening up for artist's such as Gene Watson, Ronnie Milsap, Trace Adkins and Patty Lovelace.  I am always looking to make that list longer!

I want to personally thank you for taking the time to read a little about my life.  Music is my life and by the grace of God, I hope it continues to be.
